We takin' over! (One ballpark at a time!)

Sunday will mark a monumental occasion for me. I've never been to a ball park outside of Philadelphia. I remember my first game at Veterans Stadium. I went with my championship Little League team Dig'm Installers. There was an Oreo eating contest and we all got mini oreos when we came in ("we all" couldn't have been more than 10,000 fans). I remember seeing Bobby Abreu and Scott Rolen. I think the Phils won that game but to be honest, I'm not sure.

Then I said goodbye to the ole' Vet and said hello to the new fangled Citizen's Bank Park. And it has been a lovely journey ever since. I'll admit I haven't explored all the subtle nuances of "The Bank". I've yet to have a Schmidter. I've yet to get a ball signed during BP. I've yet to boo Jayson Werth when he takes his old position back in right field, only this time during the wrong at bat.

"Yet" being the main word in that last one.

Because this Sunday I will be visiting my third Major League Ballpark and my first outside of Philly. I will be apart of the "Take Over". A bus trip of near 200 Phillies fans to infiltrate the National's Park and their new "Take Back the Ballpark" campaign. Were occupying the park! It's going down!

It's going to be such a great time! It will be the national game on ESPN. You guys should look for me! I'll be the one in the red shirt!
See, just like this! You see me?! Sweet!
It's one thing being among Phillies fans on your home turf but being with a huge crowd in foreign territory is going to build an even greater sense of camaraderie between me and my fellow fightins! So Pumped!

I have several goals for the trip. Don't make a fool out of myself or my city. Yell at some drunk Nationals fan who wants to start some stuff. Don't watch a Phillies lost (I'm talking to you Cole). But I also want to do a video news story. I'll be taking lots of pictures and video and can hopefully put together something cool.

I should be able to get a couple good articles out of this. I'm calling all fan's in attendance for a best sign contest! Get on it Phillies fans!

It's going to be hard to adjust. It's been a long time since I've been to a cheese steakless phillies game. No Crab Fries either? Rough. But it's still going to be a great game with great people to see a great team.

And I'm finally going to get to boo Jayson Werth! Or maybe even Bryce Harper! Honestly, I wouldn't mind either.
