Really NBA? These are celebrities? Couple of WNBA ladies and the Secretary of Education?! Let me educate you Mr. Secretary: You aren't a celebrity!
Here is the perfect Celebrity All-Star team. Funny, Smart, and Tough. This team has the chemistry to compete with the greats. The late 50s early 60s Celtics. The Lakers of the 80’s. The soon to be Sixers of the future. So, without further ado, here they are:
PG- Ben Stein
A solid point guard needs two things, brains and vision. He needs to be able to see the floor, find the open teammate, and avoid any dumb decisions. He was Ferris Bueller’s Ecom teacher, so you know he’s got the smarts. And he starred in countless Visine commercials, so you know he’s got the vision. He’s old, sure, but he’s got the makings of a solid floor general.
SG- Mark Wahlberg
A shooting guard needs to be able to score. He needs that killer instinct. He needs an ability to create a shot on his own, at any time, and have that urge to win. As Bob Lee Swagger the man could make a shot from anywhere. As Marky Mark he could out move anyone. As Micky Ward he learned what it meant to never quit, to truly be a winner. He brings our team the offense we need to win in the clutch.
SF- Denzel Washington
The man has “Got Game”. Hell, he taught Ray Allen everything he knows. Judging from his movies, the man is as consistent as they come. He’d be a solid defender. Versatile enough to match up against almost any player on the other team. The intimidation factor alone is enough to scare away any person from attempting a shot. He’ got heart. He’s got character. He’s the perfect fit to lead our defense.
PF- Jackie Moon (Will Ferrell)
He created the Alley Oop. He has the voice of an angel. And he's also kind of funny. At 6’3” and 250 lbs (?) he’d be a mammoth down low in any celebrity game. I’m assuming he has a solid sky hook, and maybe a mid-range jumper. Slow, but steady, he’s easily the go-to option on offense, not to mention his rapport with Wahlberg, creating a perfect inside-out offense.
C- Bill Cosby
I mean really. Do you want to go up against Mr. Huxtable in the post? Do You? Well if you do I guarantee he swats that rock away like it’s a measly pudding pop. He grew up in Philly. He’s a stand up comedian. He went to Temple!!! The man is tough. He’s got thick skin. If you try to come at him, he’ll come right back. He’s the perfect center for this perfect team.
